Complex Organics Found in Orion Nebula

Scientists at the University of Technology of Belfort-Montbéliard announced at a press conference earlier today that their resonance spectra analysis of the combined data from the VLIB radio telescope installation at the Jupiter L2 lagrange point had been completed.

"The results are extraordinary", said Dr. Jean-Paul Trufflect, "We never expected to find such complicated organic admixtures being synthesised by post-stellar processes, however the spectral analyses are quite conclusive."

"The body we've labelled OR91883+2882A seems to be composed of extremely low temperature alkaloids, fats, and more complicated organics, but with characteristically high levels of theobromine and phenethylamine. There's little doubt that it's a object of over two solar masses comprised entirely of chocolate."

"We're considering this perhaps one of the most convincing pieces of evidence not only for extraterrestrial life, but that they're carbon-biologicals, and have a well developed sense of humour."

The UNSA is considering a sample return mission as soon as 2039.
